Description
A leading optometric practice in Stockton, California, is seeking a licensed Optometrist to provide temporary coverage as a vacation fill-in doctor. This independent contractor position is available for multiple days between September 28 and October 14, with flexibility on exact scheduling and a preference for at least 8 days during this period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams and manage patient care in a busy, fully equipped office
- See up to 15 patients per day, with all pretesting performed by support staff
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment including Auto Phoropter Marco 6100, photo slit lamp, Volk lenses, Keeler or Heine wireless BIO, Eidon widefield retinal camera, Myah Topographer, Compass Perimeter, auto lensmeter, and auto refractor
- Document patient encounters using Eyefinity Encompass EHR
Requirements:
- Current licensure to practice Optometry in the state of California
- Previous clinical experience preferred
- Excellent communication and patient care skills

- Front desk personnel
- Experienced opticians
- Dedicated technicians
