Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will support the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Mentors and coaches’ teams achieve operational excellence and drive improved results. Deploys and leads projects to improve and sustain local business performance.

This role is contributing to the Smart power Business and the role reports to Manufacturing Quality Manager and is in Nelamangala, Bangalore, India as a Quality Specialist /Test Engineering Supervisor, will support production processes to ensure optimization of cost, quality and on time delivery of products.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Safety, Production & Resource Management: Ensure people and equipment safety by assessing risks and implementing preventive measures; manage production resources, manpower, overtime, leave, and testing requirements to ensure smooth operations.
Quality, Testing & Compliance: Ensure conformance to quality and production requirements, including torque verification, equipment calibration, production test system validation, and adherence to the Quality Management System.
Technical & Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Project, Sales, Quality, and Service teams to validate new hardware/software releases, resolve technical issues, support new product introductions, and provide technical updates on LV Switchgear & Controlgear.
Continuous Improvement & Capability Development: Participate in PFMEA and problem-solving activities, identify and implement process improvement initiatives, and support employee onboarding, training, and cross-functional skill development.
Customer & Factory Support: Support customer issue resolution and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), conduct customer visits when required, and coordinate with manufacturing factories to provide technical support and ensure timely resolution of product and process issues.
Qualifications for the role:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
Supervisory Experience: Prior experience in a supervisory role with the ability to lead teams, coordinate laboratory/testing activities, and ensure timely execution of quality requirements.
Electrical & Mechanical Testing: Hands-on experience in electrical/mechanical testing, troubleshooting, electronics assembly, and laboratory testing of products and components.
Quality Standards & Systems: Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 requirements, with familiarity with IEEE, UL, IEC/EN 62040-3 standards and SAP.
Test Equipment & Specialized Testing: Experience in calibration and handling of test equipment, non-conforming material disposition, test parameter verification, wire continuity, HiPot testing, CT ratio testing, and power quality analysis.
Test Setup & Documentation: Ability to prepare test samples, design and build electrical/mechanical test fixtures and setups, develop special test procedures, and accurately record test data, observations, calculations, charts, and graphs.
Laboratory Quality & Reporting: Conduct environmental, mechanical, and electrical laboratory tests in accordance with defined procedures; identify abnormalities, analyze results, and prepare clear, concise, and accurate laboratory reports.
