About The Role
Athletes First is hiring an experienced CDL Class A Driver for a contract position running from September 1 through January 31. In this role, you will safely transport equipment, freight, and materials to designated college campuses and event venues across the country, playing a key part in the on-time, on-site delivery of our events. A full schedule of events for the duration of the contract will be provided upon hire, though some flexibility around timing should be expected.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to designated college campuses, ensuring timely and on-time arrivals.
- Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) rules and maintain a clean driving record to keep company vehicles operating safely and responsibly.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to help ensure safe and on-time deliveries.
- Load, unload, and organize on-site events at venues to make sure hauler arrives on time.
- Understand and adhere to FMCSA regulations.
- Support job site safety by checking for and reporting any potential hazards, helping to prevent accidents and protect people and property.
- Proficient in fixing and maintaining interegity of the trailer.
- Travel as required by the role; a clear schedule of events for the duration of the contract will be provided upon hire.
- Operate safely in varied weather and traffic conditions.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License.
- At least 3 months of driving experience (additional experience may be required depending on the specific job).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must meet DOT medical certification standards to operate vehicles safely.
- Experience with cargo/freight handling preferred.
- Clean driving record and strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 100 pounds throughout the workday.
- Consistent physical activity, including bending, crouching, and prolonged sitting and standing.
- Must meet DOT medical certification standards to operate vehicles safely.
