We’re looking for an experienced Regional Manager to lead six Truckstops branches across the upper North Island, stretching from our new purpose-built Ruakura Hamilton Superhub through to Whangārei.

This is an influential operational leadership role with real breadth. You’ll mentor and support our Branch Managers, keep close to our customers, tackle issues when they need senior attention, and actively look for opportunities to grow our business and strengthen the way we operate.

And we’ll be upfront, these are some very big boots to fill.

What you'll be doing

Reporting directly to the General Manager Commercial Aftersales, you’ll take responsibility for the performance, people, customer experience and continued development of your region.

You’ll spend your time where it matters most, in our branches, with our people and alongside our customers.

You’ll:

• Lead, mentor and develop your
• Branch Managers, helping them build strong, capable and engaged teams
• Oversee branch performance across the region, identifying opportunities for growth, improvement and refinement
• Build strong relationships with existing customers, step in to resolve more complex customer issues, and ensure we continue to deliver the service our customers expect
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the region
• Bring your technical knowledge and commercial judgement to operational challenges
• Spot potential in people, creating opportunities for development and building capability for the future
• Work collaboratively across the wider business rather than operating your region in isolation
• Champion continuous improvement, using our LEAN operating system to challenge how we work and find smarter, more effective ways of doing things.

What you’ll bring

This isn’t a role where strong leadership alone will be enough. You’ll need deep heavy automotive technical expertise and an understanding of what it takes to run successful operations in this industry.

• Proven operational and people leadership experience
• The ability to mentor experienced leaders while still holding people accountable for results
• Commercial nous and the confidence to identify and pursue new business
• A collaborative approach to shaping both the team and the wider business
• A continuous-improvement mindset and the ability to identify where something can be grown, simplified or refined
• The credibility to work effectively with technicians, managers, customers and senior leaders alike.

You’ll have a seasoned People Business Partner and People Advisor in your corner, providing trusted advice and support when you need it. You’ll own the leadership of your people, including addressing performance and people issues, while having the right expertise alongside you to help you get the best from your teams.
