The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Electrical Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

 

• Provide expertise as a Master Electrician, developing preventive maintenance programs, and assisting in equipment problem-solving.

·        Accountable for all electrical or trade work performed by the

company's employees to ensure it meets state standards and codes.

Meet with electrical inspector on a regular basis to remain compliant with required             

electrical inspections.   

• Contribute to engineering projects, including design, procurement, and installation. Develop and maintain maintenance documentation, including logbooks of electrical work taking place, prints, program backups, and software revisions.

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify facility and production equipment, including electrical, electronic, robotics, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems. Build electrical control panels, run conduit, and provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel.
• Work with Plant Engineering and manufacturing teams to improve equipment reliability and maintenance operations. Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Follow safety practices, report unsafe conditions, and adhere to safety rules and regulations. Maintain appropriate work quality and cleanliness.

• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pulling, climbing, and working at heights or in confined spaces. Respond promptly to call-ins and emergency situations.
• other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

 

 

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

 
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws.

 

• Must hold a valid, active license appropriate for the scope of work. Class A/B Master Electrician license from the State of Minnesota (DLI) and be able to register with the State Of Minnesota as the Responsible Licensed Individual for the 3M Hutchinson Plant.
• Five years of electrical experience in a commercial / industrial setting, ability to read and update electrical prints, knowledge of electrical/electronic symbols, and computer/network fundamentals.
• Willing to work overtime and respond to after-hour call-ins.

 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

 

• Possess good communication skills. Work well with others.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to be licensed to operate powered material handling equipment (fork trucks, aerial lifts).
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift, pull, bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Continuous Improvement: Committed to continuous learning through seminars, training, and staying current with new technologies and safety.
• Future certification for PIV’s, respirators and aerial lifts will be required.
