Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Technical Lead

Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for a seasoned Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Technical Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Manufacturing Execution System (MES) environment.  The qualified candidate will lead the analysis, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of MES capabilities built on Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), including customized ERP modules and integrations with manufacturing and enterprise systems.The candidate will serve as the technical focal point for Oracle E-Business Suite/MES engineering activities and will work across Agile teams to deliver enhancements while maintaining reliable day-to-day operations.  The role requires strong knowledge of Oracle EBS, software development and integration, testing, production deployment, and technical troubleshooting, with the ability to translate manufacturing and business requirements into practical, supportable solutions.

 

Work Location: This is a hybrid position, with the expectation to work on-site 3 days per week in Washington, DC

 

Travel: This position will require periodic support at the Fort Worth, TX location as required by the customer.

 

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for the BEP Oracle EBS/MES environment, including customized ERP modules and MES capabilities.
• Analyze business and manufacturing requirements and translate them into technical solutions, system changes, interfaces, and application enhancements.
• Lead design, development, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment activities for Oracle EBS/MES capabilities.
• Provide technical direction to Agile team members responsible for MES application development, integration, testing, and production support.
• Support SAFe Agile delivery by contributing to Epics, Features, Stories, acceptance criteria, technical dependencies, sprint planning, and Program Increment planning.
• Design and support integrations between MES/Oracle EBS and manufacturing, enterprise, data, reporting, and other related systems.
• Evaluate existing Oracle EBS/MES functionality and identify opportunities for modernization, automation, reuse, performance improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Lead technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, defect resolution, and remediation of complex production issues.
• Develop and review technical designs, interface specifications, configuration documentation, deployment plans, test plans, and other engineering artifacts.
• Ensure unit, integration, regression, and other required testing is completed before deployment to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production.
• Support production releases and ensure release packages include approved scope, test evidence, rollback planning, and post-implementation verification.
• Maintain traceability from requirements through delivered functionality, testing evidence, and release documentation.
• Coordinate with the MES Solution Architect, Program/Delivery Manager, Product Owners, developers, testers, cybersecurity personnel, infrastructure teams, and manufacturing stakeholders.
• Provide technical recommendations concerning system reliability, maintainability, performance, integration, and modernization.
• Support knowledge transfer, standard operating procedures, technical documentation, and transition activities to maintain continuity of BEP operations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust level clearance
• Bachelors Degree and 8 years professional experience, or an Associates Degree and 10 years professional experience, or a High School Diploma/equivalent and 12 years professional experience
• Strong demonstrated experience in Oracle E-Business Suite, enterprise application development, systems integration, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting Oracle EBS in a complex enterprise production environment.
• Strong experience with MES, ERP, manufacturing systems, or comparable mission-critical enterprise applications.
• Experience designing, developing, configuring, integrating, testing, and deploying Oracle EBS/MES solutions.
• Experience with Oracle EBS application modules, customized ERP functionality, interfaces, integrations, and technical troubleshooting.
• Experience with software development and integration practices, including APIs, interfaces, data exchange, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience supporting application operations and maintenance, incident resolution, defect remediation, upgrades, releases, and continuous improvement.
• Experience leading or technically coordinating Agile development teams and working within SAFe Agile delivery practices.
• Experience developing and reviewing technical designs, configuration documentation, test plans, deployment plans, release packages, and operational documentation.
• Experience supporting UAT, regression testing, production deployment, and post-implementation verification.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues and communicate solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with application dependencies across databases, infrastructure, cloud services, enterprise applications, and manufacturing systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Direct experience supporting an MES built on or integrated with Oracle E-Business Suite.
• Oracle E-Business Suite technical certification or other relevant Oracle certification.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud modernization of Oracle-based enterprise applications.
• Experience with Oracle database technologies, SQL/PLSQL, application interfaces, middleware, or related Oracle technologies.
• Experience with manufacturing IT/OT integration or industrial automation.
• Experience with equipment integration, digital manufacturing, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience with Maximo or other enterprise asset management platforms.
• Experience supporting data analytics, AI/ML, predictive maintenance, or manufacturing performance dashboards.
• SAFe certification or demonstrated experience working within a SAFe Agile program.
• Prior experience supporting the U.S. Treasury Department, BEP, or other Federal agencies.
• Active Federal Public Trust or other applicable security clearance.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
