Job Summary
Under the direction of the Site Director, the Clinical Manager for the Division of Services for Addiction will coordinate and assist in the daily management of a large Opioid Treatment Program. The Clinical Manager assists in ensuring the smooth operation of the program in accordance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the daily management of the Opioid Treatment Program with a census of up to 1,000 patients.
- Review and address clinic staff documentation that is due or overdue.
- Assist in the coordination and review of all admissions, including intake paperwork, client assignments, and related documentation.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and enforcement of clinical policies, protocols, and programs for Opioid Treatment Program staff.
- Assist in the review of weekly billing to ensure all billable documentation is completed and treatment plans are in effect.
- In conjunction with the Site Director, hire, supervise, evaluate, and train counseling staff. Assist with annual reviews.
- Assist in monitoring STARS reports, HERDS reporting, and Lighthouse census management.
- Assist in the management of fiscal operations, including supervising accounting clerks, collecting payments, meeting with patients who are fiscally non-compliant, and cashing out.
- Assist in the review and management of incidents, loitering, incident reports, and patient non-compliance to ensure all clinical issues are addressed. Meet with patients in IDCs and refer patients to Next Steps, another appropriate level of care, or recommend discharge as appropriate.
- Assist in the management of time cards/UKG.
- Assist in developing systems to collect, monitor, and report required data to OASAS.
- Participate in clinic case conferences, counselor training, CQI Committee, and leadership meetings.
- Assist in the management of facility issues and conduct required drills.
- Assist with clinic staffing, including vacations, counselor of the day, community tours, toxicology testing, backup counselor schedules, phone coverage, Saturday coverage, and group schedules.
The Clinical Manager will serve as the acting Site Director during the Site Director's absence. At the Port Morris site, this responsibility occurs daily from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. due to the site's two-shift operating schedule
Requirements / Qualifications
- Master's degree required, degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field preferred.
- Must be a Qualified Health Professional (QHP) required
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience required.
- CASAC is a plus.
- Spanish-speaking is a plus.
- Experience training and supervising staff
- Knowledge of addiction treatment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and group facilitation skills.
- Strong management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent decision-making, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
