PMC: Junior Analyst / Analyst, Finance & Planning

Penske Media is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Analyst / Analyst, Finance & Planning to support day-to-day financial planning and analysis for PMC Brands. This role will work closely with Finance leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, monthly close analysis, reporting, and ad hoc financial projects across media, live events, and production-related businesses.

This entry level position is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who is seeking broad exposure to leading media brands and a dynamic live events / production business. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, comfortable working with large datasets, can interact effectively across different business teams, and be able to translate financial information into clear business insights.

As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning for PMC Brands.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Assist with month-end close support, including review of actuals, accruals, reclasses, and coordination with Accounting.
  • Support detailed sales revenue, production, and expense tracking for management reporting including detailed revenue, labor, and vendor cost review.
  • Support quota planning, commission & bonus calculations, headcount planning, and other cyclical processes.
  • Analyze revenue, operating expenses, margins, and business drivers across productions, events, branded content, media operations, freelance, and more.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across the business to gather inputs and results, understand trends, and identify financial risks and opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing materials for management reviews, and solution-minded meetings.
  • Improve recurring reports, templates, and processes to drive greater efficiency, consistency, and accuracy.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
  • Relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, investment banking, consulting, or other analytical finance roles preferred
  • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling preferred
  • Strong Excel (Pivot tables, lookups) and PowerPoint skills preferred; understanding of AI tools preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to summarize business decisions into clear and actionable financial plans
  • Collaborative, proactive, go-getter attitude, and comfortable working across different functions
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, OfficeConnect, Salesforce, NetSuite, Ultipro or similar financial/reporting systems
  • Experience in media, entertainment, digital media, live events, or production finance

A good faith estimate of the salary range is $28.85/hour - $33.65/hour.
