Mechanical Engineer for Board and Paper Machine Improvement Projects (IPP)

We are looking for a talented and result-oriented design engineer to join our creative team. As an Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of engineering duties including designing, detailing, and releasing designs to manufacturing. Then chosen engineer will

also collaborate with product centre across the globe for design support, using the in-depth knowledge of the latest design trends, engineering software’s, analytical and creative skills.

Main responsibilities:

• Oversee engineering projects for Paper / Board machine modernizations, improvements, and equipment deliveries.
• Collaborate closely with Valmet stakeholders across global teams.
• Support sales and application, R&D, procurement, and site operations, with a focus on mechanical engineering.
• For Senior Engineer roles: handle layout, 3D modelling, and subcontractor supervision.
• For Design Engineer roles: focus on 3D modelling and detail engineering, with growth opportunities toward a Senior / Chief Engineer role.
• Demonstrate technical expertise, quickly learn new technologies, and collaborate effectively in a global environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering
• Over 5 years of engineering experience for Senior engineering role but few years of experience for Design Engineer positions
• Knowledge of Board, Paper, or Tissue mills seen as advantage as well engineering experience from heavy machine industry , with proficiency in 3D engineering software such as Catia V6
• Fluent in English; additional proficiency in local or foreign language is a plus
• Determined, self-reliant, with a passion for continuous improvement and global collaboration
• Strong teamwork, networking and communication skills
• Quick learner and adaptable to new technologies
• Willingness to travel within India and internationally
