University of the Cumberlands seeks an Electronic Resources and Access Services Librarian to coordinate the activation, maintenance, and access to the library’s growing electronic resources. Additional responsibilities include oversight of collection inventory and cataloging activities, coordination of the Federal Depository Library Program, support for library systems and resource-sharing services, and participation in reference and other library services.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Administer and support the Library’s integrated systems and related technologies supporting discovery, access, authentication, resource sharing, electronic resource management, and other library services.
- Participate in system configuration, upgrades, integrations, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of new technologies in collaboration with the Systems Management and Data Librarian, vendors, University IT, and library staff.
- Manage electronic and digital resource access, including activation, authentication, maintenance, troubleshooting, and withdrawal of resources.
- Evaluate, select, and support electronic resources and emerging technologies that improve library operations, services, and user access.
- Collect, analyze, and report library data and usage statistics to support assessment, collection development, planning, and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, documentation, and workflows related to library systems, technology, data, electronic resources, and access services.
- Support resource sharing, collection management, cataloging, inventory, and Federal Depository Library Program responsibilities as assigned.
- Provide reference and research assistance and support library instruction, programs, projects, meetings, events, and other service activities.
- Collaborate with library faculty and staff in problem-solving, planning, policy development, and decision-making, and participate in University committees and institutional service as assigned.
- Supervise and train student interns or other assigned student workers.
- Maintain professional knowledge of current trends and practices in academic libraries, library technology, systems, electronic resources, data, and access services through appropriate professional development and engagement.
- Work scheduled evening and weekend hours as required, follow University policies and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Support library meetings, events, initiatives, and services as needed.
- Serve as an effective team member by collaborating with library faculty and staff for problem-solving and decision-making.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- MLS or equivalent degree from an ALA accredited program
- Knowledge of ILS systems and cataloging policies and procedures
- Knowledge of current library technology trends and a commitment to explore innovative trends in library access technologies
- Familiarity with Excel and data processing programs
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Support the University’s mission and adhere to employee policies
Preferred Requirements:
- Familiarity with Ex Libris platforms
- Familiarity with Springshare suite
- Experience with electronic resource management
