Job Responsibilities
Enter Treasury related transactions initiated by dealers into relevant internal/external systems, including Money Market, FX and Derivatives items.
Sort and distribute maturing corporate deals to dealers for instructions.
Confirm transactions and instructions with counterparties and follow up on outstanding items.
Check dealing evidence and SWIFT confirmations (MT320 / MT399).
Check and authorise STP deals, book transfers and trades in the external matching/settling system.
Release STP payment orders for Corporate and Interbank Money Market transactions.
Prepare customer notices, documents and confirmations for corporate customers for MM, FX or Derivative transactions.
Prepare SWIFT messages via SAMH and monitor confirmation matching.
Ensure timely and accurate payment/settlement of GMO products.
Ensure efficient settlement in Austraclear, RITS and NZClear.
Reconcile funds received and investigate unallocated or non-received funds.
Handle customer and internal enquiries and follow up outstanding items.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers.
Cross-train to support other parts of the Operations team as required.
Prepare daily and monthly reports for Operations Management.
Perform end-of-day balancing and reconciliation activities.
Ensure compliance with risk management standards, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Maintain confidentiality of bank and customer information.
Observe Work Health & Safety requirements and undertake additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in Treasury Operations or a similar operational role within the banking or financial services industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with VBA/Macros will be an added advantage.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy when processing transactions.
Degree, diploma, or equivalent tertiary qualification preferred.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business requirements and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
Ability to quickly acquire and apply knowledge of Treasury products, processes, and systems.
Sound technical aptitude with experience in transaction processing, settlements, reconciliations, or related operational activities.
A proactive team player with a strong risk and control mindset and commitment to operational excellence.
