Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Defines and develops project scope, deliverables, and plans to align with project objectives in support of Ambulatory Care initiatives, which may relate to access, care delivery, nursing, quality, patient experience, operations, staffing, or financial objectives.

  • Manages project lifecycle from concept to post-implementation, controlling for resources, costs, risks, conflicts, and timelines.

  • Uses critical-thinking skills to work under minimal supervision, while taking appropriate action and using initiative to anticipate obstacles and drive favorable outcomes; operates with high-level of reliability and attention to detail.

  • Leads, supports, and influences discussions and communication to achieve project goals and represent change-management efforts for division and organization.

  • Works collaboratively with all organizational stakeholders, including, but not limited to other leaders, to facilitate quality patient care, operational effectiveness and efficiency, and process improvements; may interact with external customers by applying same principles of collaboration.

  • Manages project team members in relation to project scope, deliverables, and progress, and serves as mentor to junior members of project team.

  • Responsible for outcomes of projects within sphere of influence.

  • May define, develop, and improve clinical, operational, and performance workflows and standards within areas of Ambulatory Care.

  • May maintain patient information and documentation in electronic medical record.

  • Abides by organizational and HIPAA guidelines, privacy practices, patient confidentiality, and patient rights.

  • Supports and promotes hospital and departmental performance improvement goals.

  • Supports quality care through compliance with departmental and organizational policies and guidelines, and external agency guidelines, standards, or regulations.

  • Supports departmental initiatives and change efforts.

  • Practices financial and resource stewardship.

  • Engages in strong communication, acts as team player in supporting mission and vision of organization, and abides by organization’s core values.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Master’s degree in business administration or healthcare administration preferred

  • Minimum 2-years’ experience in hospital, outpatient clinic, physician office, or ambulatory setting required
