We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Process Automation Technician at our Crop Protection manufacturing facility in Harbor Beach, MI. In this role, you will support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of plant process control systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), and industrial control networks.

What You'll Do:
- Support the safe and reliable operation of plant automation systems, including DCS, PLC, HMI, and control networks.
- Assist with configuring, testing, and implementing process control strategies and system improvements.
- Participate in loop checks, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and system optimization activities.
- Support Process Information Systems, alarm management systems, and process historians.
- Provide technical support to Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve process control issues.
- Assist with Management of Change (MOC) activities and maintain automation-related documentation.
- Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Process Safety Management (PSM) activities.
- Support system backups, patching, cybersecurity compliance, and disaster recovery requirements.
- Assist with capital projects through planning, testing, commissioning, and startup phases.
- Help train operators and maintenance personnel on automation systems and HMI interfaces.
- Monitor process control performance and identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, quality, and efficiency.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support plant operations as needed.
What Skills You Need:
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Automation Technology, Instrumentation, Electrical Technology, Industrial Controls, or a related field.
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting industrial automation systems.
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and industrial control networks.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Experience in a chemical, agricultural, or industrial manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of DCS platforms, process historians, and alarm management systems.
- Familiarity with PSM, MOC, PHA, and LOPA processes.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity and network compliance programs for control systems.
- Experience supporting startup, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects.
