Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM US Pacific Time (PT)

About our Client

Our Client is an innovative higher education institution founded 30 years ago in the San Francisco Bay Area, enrolling students globally across unique hybrid and 100% online graduate degree, certificate, and public programs. Offering master's and doctoral programs in Psychology, Education, and Business, they deliver an integrated, experiential, and transformative curriculum designed for working professionals. Driven by digital transformation, they rely on forward-thinking product leaders to elevate their internal software platform suite and modernize their digital learning ecosystems.

The Role

Our Client is seeking an AI-Native Product Manager to join their product team and own the full product lifecycle—from discovery and specification to design collaboration, engineering delivery, and retrospectives. Designed for a practitioner who actively builds with advanced AI tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) and understands Git environments, this role collaborates directly with designers and engineers to streamline internal platform workflows. Reporting remotely during U.S. Pacific business hours, this professional will translate operational friction into high-impact product releases.

Key Responsibilities

Roadmap Ownership, Specs & Discovery

  • Owns the product roadmap for assigned internal platform areas, writing detailed specifications, defining acceptance criteria, and driving features through to production.

  • Conducts product discovery by reviewing documented process flows to identify operational friction, redundancies, and automation opportunities.

  • Meets with internal stakeholders and staff to validate findings, translating institutional insights into actionable product bets.

  • Defines success metrics for every initiative, utilizing product analytics to guide ongoing iteration and feature enhancement.

Design Collaboration & Technical Handoff

  • Partners directly with product designers in Figma by inspecting layouts, leaving precise structured feedback, participating in design reviews, and managing clean handoffs to development teams.

  • Manages and prioritizes the backlog alongside engineering leads, writing well-structured tickets with comprehensive technical context.

  • Operates as a technical PM within Git/GitHub environments, reviewing diffs, understanding pull requests at a functional level, and managing release communications.

AI-Native Workflow & Asynchronous Execution

  • Integrates AI-native development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or equivalent) daily for rapid prototyping, deep research, spec drafting, and problem-solving.

  • Maintains high-quality asynchronous written communication, documenting key product decisions and keeping distributed stakeholders aligned.

  • Proactively evaluates the evolving AI tooling landscape, introducing relevant automation capabilities to enhance team velocity.

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on AI Tooling Fluency: Demonstrable, daily operational mastery using AI-native development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or equivalent).

  • Git & GitHub Proficiency: Solid understanding of software release environments, including branching, pull requests, diff reviews, and release content tracking.

  • Figma & Design Handoff: Experience working directly inside Figma to inspect components, provide detailed feedback, and execute developer handoffs.

  • SaaS Product Experience: Proven background working on at least one SaaS product (including startup, early-career, or personal side-project contexts).

  • Written English Fluency: Superior written English communication skills optimized for asynchronous, distributed team environments.

  • Schedule Alignment: Full availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM US Pacific Time.

  • Remote Workspace Infrastructure: Quiet dedicated workspace, modern computing hardware, and a high-speed, reliable internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building with LLM APIs or configuring Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and agentic AI workflows.

  • Familiarity with prompt engineering frameworks, process documentation, or reading API documentation/JSON payloads.

  • Experience shipping features end-to-end within startup, freelance, or remote U.S. team environments.

  • Exposure to product analytics platforms such as Mixpanel or Amplitude.

Benefits

  • Competitive USD Compensation: $31,200 – $41,600 USD annual compensation ($15.00 – $20.00 USD/hour), paid directly in USD.

  • AI-First Culture: Direct support to leverage modern AI coding and productivity tools in daily product management workflows.

  • Impactful Educational Mission: Help shape software systems powering transformative global graduate programs.

  • 100% Remote Infrastructure: Dedicated full-time engagement executed remotely from Latin America.
