What We Look For...

We are in search of a Houseperson/Utility who is responsible for restocking linen rooms with proper supplies; pick up dirty linen and glassware from Room Attendants' carts and deliver to appropriate areas in a timely manner; minor room maintenance and repair; empty garbage from rooms. Clean/upkeep all public areas.

 

The Key Responsibilities:

• Hotel Care

  • Meet and exceed guest and team member expectations by providing exceptional service and team work
  • Report to work on time and in complete uniform, including name tag, as prescribed by your Supervisor
  • Pick up dirty linen throughout the day from room attendants' carts as linen is not to be left in hallways for any amount of time
  • Restock linen rooms in assigned area per the par established by the Housekeeping Manager
  • Clean stair wells, including stair railing, and vending areas in assigned area
  • Empty trash from Room Attendants carts and replace trash bag on a timely basis
  • Perform minor room maintenance and repairs
  • Complete on-the-spot cosmetic maintenance as part of daily room inspections
  • Responsible to pick up any garbage left in front of a room
  • Follow all safety rules as outlined by the hotel
  • Be continually alert for the safety of all employees and guests, reporting any unsafe conditions to your immediate supervisor
  • At all times project a favorable image of the hotel to the public
  • Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, or makes recommendations for repairs, as assigned: of all mechanical/electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems, all building components and furniture, fixtures and equipment
  • Daily maintains the grounds, landscaping and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe and attractive manner
  • Tests chemical levels daily in pool and spa and maintains proper chemical levels and ensures chlorinator is operating
  • Performs painting, carpentry, plumbing, emergency carpet cleaning and other jobs as necessary
  • Maintains all storage area, shops and mechanical areas in a clean, safe and secure manner, reporting to the GM and/or MOD any corrective actions that need to be taken
  • Assist in performing Houseman duties in the absence of a Houseman, and/or as directed by the General Manager
  
  

  Miscellaneous

  • Follow hotel grooming and dress standards, minimize safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures
  • Keep your Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities asked of you in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
  • Perform any other job duties as requested by Supervisor, GM, Operations Manager, Guests, Front Desk or the Manager on Duty
  • Report to work on time and in complete uniform, including name tag, as prescribed by your Supervisor
  • Follow hotel grooming and dress standards
  • Follow all safety rules as outlined by the hotel
  • Be continually alert for the safety of all employees and guests, reporting any unsafe conditions to your immediate supervisor

The Model Qualifications:

• Previous experience in hospitality preferred.
