Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City is looking for a Phlebotomist, Lab Support Technician to support our lab team.

The Work :   

• Full-time night shift, 6 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. Three shifts per week rotating with weekend requirement every third week. Two holidays per year required.

• Some experience preferred

• Collect patient specimens in accordance with laboratory’s policy, procedures, and regulatory standards 

• Correlates patient samples to provider laboratory test orders in the LIS/EMR 

• Performs and reports Point of Care laboratory testing as required 

• Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection 

• Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections
