Now Brewing – brand manager II, North American Coffee Partnership (NACP)! #tobeapartner

From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

The Global Channel Development team leads marketing and innovation for Starbucks products delivered in channels outside of our retail coffeehouses. We do this through thoughtful partnerships with some of the world’s leading food and beverage companies. This is an exciting opportunity to work on our North American Coffee Partnership (NACP), our 30+ year partnership with Pepsi that has brought Frappuccino, Coffee & Protein, Doubleshot Energy, and many more beloved beverages to life in a ready-to-drink (RTD) format.

In this role, you will help shape the future of our powerhouse $2B+ business by leading the development and commercialization of the next generation of RTD beverage innovation. You will play a critical role in defining the growth strategy for some of Starbucks most iconic brands, bringing beloved coffeehouse experiences into RTD formats, and identifying entirely new opportunities for growth. Working within this highly collaborative joint venture, you will combine PepsiCo's industry-leading consumer, commercial, and execution expertise with Starbucks deep brand equity, coffee authority, and commitment to quality.

We are looking for a passionate, strategic, and consumer-centric Senior Brand Manager to join our innovation team and lead the development of breakthrough innovation platforms that will drive sustainable growth in and beyond the coffee aisle.

As an Innovation Senior Brand Manager, you will...

  • Lead innovation strategy and portfolio development: Drive the 3-5 year innovation roadmap by identifying growth opportunities through consumer insights, market trends, and business needs. Shape a portfolio of innovation initiatives that support long-term brand and category growth.
  • Lead breakthrough innovation from concept to commercialization: Oversee a portfolio of innovation projects, guiding teams through concept development, consumer validation, product formulation, packaging, and launch execution to deliver meaningful consumer and business impact.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team: Manage and develop Brand Managers, providing coaching, mentorship, and leadership to build a high-performing innovation organization. You will foster a culture of consumer-centric thinking, accountability, collaboration, and continuous development while helping team members expand their strategic and leadership capabilities.
  • Influence business and commercial strategy: Partner closely with marketing, sales, insights, R&D, finance, and PepsiCo counterparts to shape portfolio priorities, customer strategies, consumer messaging, and go-to-market plans. You will ensure innovation plans align with broader business objectives and support sustainable category growth.
  • Drive cross-functional leadership and executive influence: Serve as a key leader across Starbucks and PepsiCo, bringing teams together around a shared vision and influencing decisions among senior stakeholders. You will lead complex discussions, navigate ambiguity, and build alignment to advance innovation priorities across a highly matrixed organization.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Progressive experience in brand management, innovation, consumer packaged goods, marketing, or related fields. (6-10 years)
  • Strong human-centered design and test/learn experience.
  • Experience leading end-to-end innovation projects from concept through commercialization.
  • Demonstrated success developing brand and portfolio growth strategies.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing team members.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and business acumen.
  • Excellence in influencing and collaborating across complex cross-functional organizations.
  • Ability to synthesize consumer, customer, competitive, and marketplace insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Experience presenting recommendations and influencing decisions with senior leadership.
  • Passion for innovation, consumer understanding, and delivering exceptional brand experiences.
  • MBA preferred.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of experience in a role in marketing, brand management or product management.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a role leading the development of new or existing products or strategies from conception to implementation.
  • 3 years or more years of experience leading teams, especially geographically dispersed.
  • Bachelor’s degree or four years of US military experience in a related MOS/C.

As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits. Partners have access to short-term and long-term disability, paid parental leave, family expansion reimbursement, paid vacation from date of hire*, sick time (accrued at 1 hour for every 25 hours worked), eight paid holidays, and two personal days per year. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
