Description
Reporting to and supporting the Site Leader, the Receptionist/ Clerk is usually the first point of contact for anyone entering the Park Place Home, thus must be a positive, outgoing and informed presence, willing to attend to others’ needs and become a vibrant part of the Park Place Home’s community. Serves Residents, families, visitors. and employees in a welcoming manner, assisting and supporting as required. The Receptionist Clerk ensures a commitment to Resident safety and to our “culture of safety” as per the Strategic Directions of Park Place Seniors Living.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and Responsibilities may include all or some of the following responsibilities depending on the size of the home and may be combined with another Job Title if applicable.
- Cordially receives, assists and directs Residents, tenants, families, visitors, and employees within the Park Place Home, including accompanying visitors to their destination, as required.
- Answers, directs, and responds to phone calls and queries.
- Clerical duties including filing and word processing (e.g. typing minutes), sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Orders office supplies, including for printers, fax machines, photocopier, etc.
- Responsible for Residents’ trust accounts; paying bills, requests for cash, reconciliation, bank deposits, statement electronic documentation.
- Receives cheques and/or cash payments and provides receipts.
- Develops, updates and maintains all lists (e.g. emergency employee fan-out telephone list, Residents list).
- Books visitor’s suite as applicable, distributes and collects keys and collects, accounts for and deposits funds into bank.
- Restocks Neighborhoods with forms and supplies as required.
- Responsible for directing the shipping and receiving of supplies for the Park Place Home.
- Prepares and mails monthly Resident and tenant Pre-Authorized Payment information slips.
- Working with Corporate, assists with year-end audit. • Attends work-related conferences and seminars as directed.
- Other duties as required.
College or University with recent related experience an asset. Computer skills required.
