Description

Description

The Agency Finance leader is responsible for driving financial planning, long-term forecasting, reporting, controls, and operational excellence across Comparion Insurance Agency (CIA), the Liberty Mutual Insurance Agency (LMIA), and the broader Agency Distribution Services (ADS) organization. This individual serves as a critical thought partner to business leaders, providing strategic financial insights that inform channel economics, compensation design, and growth initiatives. The role leads a team that ensures revenue is accurately captured and allocated, expenses are managed with discipline, and financial operations — including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and compensation administration — run with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual and ongoing planning/forecasting processes for CIA, LMIA and ADS.
  • Own P&L development, Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs), and budget-versus-actual reporting for CIA and LMIA Choice channels.
  • Partner with USRM Finance to ensure CIA and LMIA financial plans and results are accurately reported in consolidated USRM financials.
  • Facilitate the stakeholder expense roadmap process, connecting investment decisions to business outcomes and productivity metrics.
  • Implement and maintain financial reporting and controls that support accurate, timely, and compliant financial results.
  • Oversee revenue allocation, booking, and reconciliation processes; ensure adherence to accounting standards and policy.
  • Manage contract set-up, mapping, invoicing, and ongoing financial support in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee accounts receivable (carrier and vendor receivables) and accounts payable (agent and vendor disbursements) functions, ensuring on-time and accurate payments.
  • Build and continuously improve best-in-class compensation operations processes that enable compensation design, stewardship, implementation, and recognition program delivery.
  • Serve as the source of truth for financial results, drivers, and operational metrics.
  • Act as a critical thought partner to senior business leaders, supporting business strategy, channel economics, and agency growth initiatives.
  • Partner across ADS to support and understand ongoing agency initiatives, ensuring financial implications are surfaced and incorporated into decision-making.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Employees should review all role requirements and apply only for positions for which they are eligible. Hiring processes may vary by country, including differences in procedures, requirements, and timelines.  For country-specific details, please consult your local recruiting / HR team.
