Consistently recognised by the industry for activities in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and capital raising, our Corporate Finance business is a market leader in Investment Banking & Capital Markets. We provide a full range of investment banking services, including public and private equity and debt financing, M&A advice and private investment services for corporate and institutional clients.

The Investment Banking Coverage & Advisory division is looking to add an Associate in the NRG team to their platform.

Your key responsibilities

  • Supporting wider teams in the coverage effort of key NRG accounts

  • Coordinating and assisting in origination and execution of M&A, Leverage Finance and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions with NRG clients

  • Conducting sector and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation, credit analysis and financial modelling

  • In both origination and execution projects, taking responsibility to communicate with clients, other advisers and senior investment bankers

  • You will be expected to utilize sector knowledge to guide production of materials presented to clients and assisting Country and Product bankers on opportunities relating to the NRG sector

  • You will also be responsible for helping to develop and mentor the juniors in the team

Your skills and experience

  • Relevant Corporate Finance experience across advisory and capital market products

  • Proven execution skills, complex deal understanding and structuring capabilities in M&A, Leverage Finance and ECM

  • Strong analytical approach combined with creative problem-solving abilities

  • High levels of initiative and ingenuity, high pro-activity levels and drive and excellent organisational skills - the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously

  • Able to drive and influence senior, cross-functional and cross-regional deal teams, interfacing with multiple business partners across business lines and regions

  • Able to communicate well with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively in teams

  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
