Description
The purpose of the role is to provide Maintenance Management Specialist services
for II Marine Expeditionary Force Support Battalion (II MSB).
Objective:
Working directly for the Commanding Officer, II MSB. II MSB's mission is to provide and coordinate combat service support, security and administrative services to the Marine Expeditionary Force Command Element (MEF CE), Marine Expeditionary Brigade Command Element (MEB CE), and Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group Headquarters Troop Support (MIG HQTRS) in order to sustain
command and control of Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) operations. The primary responsibility of the contractor is to support the unit's
maintenance management programs, implement the maintenance program, and analyze maintenance trends.
Required Qualifications:
Must have a SECRET level security clearance.
Knowledge of the operating procedures of the Marine Corps maintenance and maintenance management programs.
Familiarity and at least five years of experience with GCSS-MC and TDM Catalyst, as well as Microsoft SharePoint, and MS Office programs.
Equipment Readiness and Maintenance Tracking Duties/Tasks:
Track preventive maintenance schedules and verify compliance across assigned equipment platforms.
Maintain and update equipment readiness status and maintenance trackers for the II MSB Commander.
Analyze maintenance trends, equipment readiness data, and workflow efficiencies and provide recommendations for improvement.
Monitor corrective maintenance actions, work orders, and parts status to ensure timely resolution.
Support the development and maintenance readiness reports and maintenance summaries.
Assist with inspections, audits, and readiness evaluations as required.
Support maintenance-related inspections, including internal compliance reviews and higher headquarters evaluations.
Administration and Document Control
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, logs, trackers, and readiness reports.
Maintain appointment letters, designation memorandums, and training documentation related to maintenance management programs.
Ensure required certifications and licensing are tracked and current.
Research applicable maintenance policies, directives, and procedures to ensure compliance and provide problem resolution.
Operational Support Coordination
Support the Maintenance Management Officer in the daily execution of maintenance management operations across II MSB.
Serve as liaison between maintenance sections and higher headquarters as directed.
Coordinate and communicate maintenance priorities, deadlines, and tasking across supported units.
Coordinate with maintenance chiefs regarding repair timelines and equipment availability.
Assist with implementation of new maintenance systems, technologies, or procedural updates as directed by higher headquarters.
