Job Description Summary

‎ 

The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting clinicians in the examination, treatment, and overall care of patients. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient, patient-centered care experience. The Medical Assistant delivers high-quality service, adheres to established protocols, and contributes to a positive clinic environment.

How will you make an impact & Requirements

‎ 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Provide front and back-office support in accordance with CareMore Health Care Center (CCC) or Medical Group Practice workflows. 

  • Greet patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner to promote a welcoming environment. 

  • Manage patient check-in by confirming medical records/charts, updating patient information, completing necessary paperwork, and ensuring chart accuracy. 

  • Interview patients, obtain and record vital signs, and document the reason for visit. 

  • Explain procedures, support clinician examinations, perform treatments, and administer prescribed medications. 

  • Manage patient check-out by scheduling follow-up appointments, collecting co-payments as applicable, and ensuring all documentation is complete. 

  • Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments while maintaining provider calendars. 

  • Reconcile daily co-payments and ensure proper documentation and accuracy of financial transactions.

Professionalism & Confidentiality 

  • Handles sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies. 

  • Demonstrates dependability, integrity, and a commitment to high-quality care. 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Medical Assistant certificate / certification from an accredited training program required. 

  • Current and valid Medical Assistant certificate / certification from an accredited training program required. 

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills may be required, depending on location or patient population. 

  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required 

  • Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is required.

Compensation Range:

$21.60

to

$32.40

 

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
