MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
• 6+ years of relevant experience in Marine Insurance/Reinsurance, preferably within broking.
• Proven track record of generating Marine business, acquiring clients and driving revenue.
• Strong experience in end-to-end Marine Reinsurance placement, including market approach, negotiation, structuring and closure.
• Established relationships with reinsurers and reinsurance markets, with the ability to negotiate pricing, terms, capacity and coverage.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive new business development and revenue growth for the Marine Reinsurance portfolio.
• Develop and manage relationships with corporates, insurers, cedants, brokers and reinsurers.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the existing Marine client portfolio.
• Lead end-to-end Marine Reinsurance placements, from risk assessment and submission to negotiation and closure.
• Handle Facultative and/or Treaty Marine reinsurance placements.
• Prepare and review reinsurance submissions, slips and placement documentation.
• Negotiate with reinsurers on pricing, terms, conditions, capacity and coverage.
• Develop strong relationships with domestic and international reinsurance markets to secure competitive terms.
• Take ownership of renewals, portfolio retention and business expansion.
• Work closely with internal technical and operations teams to ensure smooth binding, documentation and post-placement servicing.
• Monitor market trends, pricing and capacity across the Marine reinsurance market.
• Represent the organisation in client meetings, market meetings and industry events.
• Contribute to the overall Marine Reinsurance strategy and portfolio growth.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
• Graduate in any discipline; preferably from Insurance, Finance, Business, Economics or related fields.
• Professional qualifications such as AIII / III, ACII, CII or equivalent insurance/reinsurance certifications would be an advantage.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in Marine Insurance / Marine Reinsurance, with strong exposure to Sales + Placement.
• Candidates with a strong combination of technical Marine knowledge, commercial acumen and market relationships will be preferred.
