Project Role Description : Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of organizational data. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define data standards, facilitate effective data collection, storage, access, and usage; and drive data stewardship initiatives for comprehensive and effective data governance.

As a Data Governance Practitioner, a typical day involves establishing and enforcing data governance policies that uphold the accuracy, integrity, and security of organizational data. This role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders to define and maintain data standards, ensuring that data collection, storage, access, and usage processes are effective and compliant. The practitioner actively drives data stewardship initiatives, fostering a culture of responsibility and accountability around data management across the organization. Through continuous engagement and coordination, the role supports the development of a robust data governance framework that aligns with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
- Lead the development and implementation of data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Facilitate communication and alignment between technical teams and business units to ensure data governance objectives are met.
- Monitor compliance with data governance policies and recommend improvements to enhance data quality and security.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and fostering their professional growth within the data governance domain.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- Experience with data management and governance tools and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of data security principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to design and implement data stewardship programs and data quality controls.
- Skilled in collaborating across diverse teams to drive data governance initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable and sustainable data solutions.
