Part time, 20 hrs./week. Monday - Friday, with flexibility.
*Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook highly preferred*
Job Summary: To provide general assistance, patient information and directions to visitors, employees and physicians. Responsible for all activities associated with the Information Desk. Attends Employee Forums and stays current on changes within the RSFH system. Responsible for training new volunteers to Information Desk duties. Assists Volunteer Director as directed with clerical tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Graduate or GED.
Experience: Customer Service. Basic computer skills.
Licensure/Certification: NA

Knowledge/Skills: Ability to use Patient Information computer program. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Requires the ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Must possess basic knowledge or all relative safety codes. DEHC, HIPAA & JCAHO. Assist Volunteer Coordinator with scheduling issues in their absence and with departmental clerical issues.
Other: Requires a neat, professional and mature individual who projects a positive first image of Roper St. Francis Healthcare.
Contacts: Constant interaction with volunteers of all ages, employees, physicians, community organizations and the general public.
Work Demands/Environment:
Frequent sitting. Intermittent walking, standing, stooping, bending. Ability to push a wheelchair and escort patients when needed. May require lifting or moving items up to 25 lbs. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity. Constant talking or hearing. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Minimal risk of exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials, communicable diseases and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment.
