Senior Analyst Financial Reporting & Consolidation

About the Role:

Our client in the investment management industry is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting & Consolidation to join their corporate finance team.

This role will have significant involvement in the organization’s consolidated financial reporting process, working across multiple entities and partnering with finance teams throughout the business. The successful candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge and hands-on exposure to consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency entities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA with a background in financial reporting, either within a complex corporate environment or public accounting, who is looking to build broader hands-on experience across the full consolidation and reporting cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Support the end-to-end consolidation and financial reporting process across multiple entities
• Review, validate and reconcile financial information submitted by various business units to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Prepare consolidation entries, including intercompany and other elimination entries
• Support the consolidation of entities operating in multiple currencies
• Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring reporting requirements and deadlines are met
• Prepare and support consolidated financial statements, related disclosures and management reporting
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial and performance reporting for management and other stakeholders
• Support accounting activities for corporate entities, including journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, month-end close and standalone financial reporting
• Work closely with finance teams across the organization to investigate variances, resolve reporting issues and ensure consistency of financial information
• Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting initiatives and special projects as required

Qualifications:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline
• CPA designation strongly preferred or in process near completion
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting, financial reporting and/or audit experience
• Experience with financial statement consolidation within a multi-entity environment
• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting requirements
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to work with and manipulate large data sets
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced reporting environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with finance stakeholders across the organization

Responsabilités :

• Participer au processus complet de consolidation et d’information financière pour plusieurs entités
• Examiner, valider et rapprocher les informations financières soumises par différentes unités d’affaires afin d’en assurer l’exactitude et l’exhaustivité
• Préparer les écritures de consolidation, notamment les écritures intersociétés et autres écritures d’élimination
• Participer à la consolidation d’entités opérant dans différentes devises
• Contribuer aux processus de clôture mensuelle et trimestrielle afin d’assurer le respect des exigences en matière d’information financière et des échéanciers
• Participer à la préparation des états financiers consolidés, des informations connexes à fournir et des rapports de gestion
• Contribuer à la préparation et à l’analyse de rapports financiers et de performance destinés à la direction et aux autres parties prenantes
• Soutenir les activités comptables des entités corporatives, notamment les écritures de journal, les rapprochements de comptes et bancaires, les clôtures mensuelles et la préparation d’états financiers individuels
• Collaborer étroitement avec les équipes financières de l’organisation afin d’analyser les écarts, de résoudre les enjeux liés à l’information financière et d’assurer la cohérence des données financières
• Participer à des analyses financières ponctuelles, à diverses initiatives en matière d’information financière et à des projets spéciaux, au besoin

Qualifications :

• Diplôme universitaire en comptabilité, finance, administration des affaires ou dans un domaine connexe
• Titre de CPA fortement souhaité, ou cheminement vers le titre de CPA presque terminé
• De 3 à 5 années d’expérience pertinente en comptabilité, en information financière et/ou en audit
• Expérience en consolidation d’états financiers dans un environnement comportant plusieurs entités
• Solide connaissance des normes IFRS et des exigences en matière d’information financière
• Maîtrise avancée de Microsoft Excel et capacité à travailler avec d’importants volumes de données et à les manipuler
• Grande rigueur et souci du détail, avec la capacité de gérer plusieurs échéances dans un environnement d’information financière au rythme soutenu
• Excellentes aptitudes en communication et en relations interpersonnelles, avec la capacité de collaborer efficacement avec différents intervenants financiers à travers l’organisation
