Project Controls Coordinator - Chandler, AZ - Semiconductor

WWPS is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator to support a major semiconductor construction project in Chandler, Arizona.

This position works closely with the Data Analyst and a Project Controls/PMO Manager on the team. The successful candidate will combine strong Excel and data analysis capabilities with practical project controls knowledge and the ability to work directly with construction leadership and client stakeholders.

The Project Controls Coordinator will serve as a key analytical and coordination partner to the Base Build Construction Manager. This person will be responsible for transforming project data into meaningful reporting, identifying trends and potential issues, and helping develop practical mitigation strategies that support project execution.

This is an onsite position supporting a fast paced, highly technical semiconductor construction environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, maintain, and improve project controls reports, trackers, dashboards, and management tools.
• Perform detailed analysis of project data using Microsoft Excel and other project controls systems.
• Consolidate information from multiple project teams, contractors, systems, and reporting sources into accurate and actionable project reporting.
• Identify trends, variances, risks, data inconsistencies, and emerging project concerns.
• Work directly with construction leadership and client stakeholders to communicate findings and support the development of mitigation strategies.
• Provide analytical and project controls support to the Base Build Construction Manager.
• Track project performance metrics and provide clear visibility into current status, trends, and areas requiring management attention.
• Support cost, forecast, commitment, change, procurement, and other project controls reporting as required.
• Reconcile project controls data with financial, procurement, contractor, and client reporting systems.
• Monitor project data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Develop charts, graphics, summaries, and presentations that clearly communicate complex project information.
• Maintain action items, issues, risks, and other management level project tracking tools.
• Support recurring project controls and construction management meetings.
• Assist construction leadership with preparation for client reviews, project updates, and management discussions.
• Coordinate with project controls, finance, procurement, construction, engineering, and contractor teams to obtain and validate project information.
• Analyze historical and current project performance to identify potential schedule, cost, productivity, or execution concerns.
• Support forecasting and trend analysis to help project leadership anticipate potential impacts before they affect execution.
• Assist in developing standardized reporting processes and improving the efficiency and accuracy of project information.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports in response to project leadership and client requests.
• Provide project controls support across the broader project team as priorities evolve.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in project controls, construction analytics, project coordination, PMO support, cost controls, or a related function.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with demonstrated experience analyzing and organizing large or complex data sets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, risks, and potential project impacts.
• Ability to translate project data into clear conclusions and actionable information for construction leadership.
• Experience developing reports, trackers, dashboards, presentations, or other project management tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work directly with clients, construction managers, project controls professionals, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced project environment.
• Ability to work independently while also operating effectively within a large multidisciplinary project team.
• Working knowledge of construction project controls principles and practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting semiconductor, microelectronics, advanced manufacturing, cleanroom, pharmaceutical, data center, or other technically complex construction projects.
• Experience supporting large scale base build or facility construction programs.
• Familiarity with project controls, ERP, cost management, or reporting platforms such as Oracle, SAP, EcoSys, Prolog, Power BI, or similar systems.
• Experience with cost reporting, forecasting, change tracking, commitments, procurement reporting, schedule reporting, or construction performance metrics.
• Previous experience working in a client facing project environment.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent relevant project experience will also be considered.
