Odyssey House is seeking a Clinical Director for our Criminal Justice Program!

Job Location: Salt Lake City

Compensation: $85,000/salary

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

 Functions of the Job: 

•  Oversee and manage all aspects of the clinical milieu.
  Provide clinical supervision to assigned interns and counselors.
  Support the hiring, orientation, professional development, performance evaluation, and
  termination of staff.
• Coordinate and provide clinical training and onboarding for new therapists and interns.
• Demonstrate proficiency in spreadsheets, budgeting, Smart sheet, and Microsoft Office
  applications.
• Oversee monthly Quality Assurance and Clinical audits, including documentation, scope of
  practice, grammar, and compliance with county requirements.
• Participate in weekly management meetings and support ongoing program planning, evaluation,
  and quality assurance initiatives.
• Coordinate with Jail Command staff regarding jail-related concerns, safety issues, and other
  operational matters impacting the program.
• Ensure appropriate diagnosis of mental health and substance-related conditions in accordance
  with the DSM-5.
• Oversee treatment planning, assessments, funding requests, and discharge processes within
  required timeframes.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including ASAM Dimensional Analysis, court
  reports, progress reports, and referral recommendations.
• Coordinate psychiatric and mental health needs with Jail Mental Health and other wrap-around
  service providers.
• Utilize the Therapeutic Community model and motivational techniques to support client
  engagement, retention, and progress.
• Maintain effective therapeutic relationships and healthy professional boundaries with clients.
• Communicate proactively with collateral supports, including family members, significant others,
  probation officers, judges, caseworkers, and other involved professionals.
• Oversee and facilitate group coverage as needed to ensure continuity of programming and
  clinical services.

Requirements

Licensure / Education / Prior Experience / Skills Required:

•  Licensed Mental Health Professional, including: LCSW, LPC, LMFT. 
• If working with children or vulnerable adult population, must pass a criminal background check. 
• First Aid and CPR Certification (available through Odyssey House)
• Graduate degree in mental health field. 
• Minimum three years experience in direct clinical care.

Physical Demands of the Job: Ability to lift up to 15 lbs., drive (or adequate alternate transportation), sit for prolonged periods, and perform light to moderate physical activity at times. Able to passively restrain residents without likely injury to self due to existing medical condition.
