Hiring Range: $28.00 - $34.66 per hour

We’re looking for a skilled Medical Coder & Biller with oncology experience to join our team and play a key role in supporting accurate, compliant, and efficient revenue cycle operations.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you’ll take ownership of coding and billing processes that directly impact patient care and organizational success. You will:

• Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for oncology services, including hematology conditions, chemotherapy, infusions, and immunotherapy
• Review provider documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance
• Prepare and submit clean claims, reducing denials and optimizing reimbursement
• Investigate and resolve claim denials, including managing appeals through final determination
• Conduct infusion billing audits, ensuring proper documentation of drug usage and waste
• Track coding trends and identify compliance risks, recommending improvements
• Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, and finance teams to support seamless revenue cycle operations
• Serve as a subject matter expert for coding, billing practices, and payer requirements
• Support patient-centered service by helping resolve billing questions with professionalism and empathy

What You Bring:

• Professional coding certification (CPC or CHONC) required, with a minimum of 5 years of professional medical coding and revenue cycle experience. 
•  Demonstrated expertise reviewing medical records, physician documentation and independently assigning CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes, including knowledge of oncology, hematology, infusion, specialty coding, oncology pharmaceuticals, and J-code reimbursement. 
•  Minimum 5 years of hands-on billing, denial management, payment posting, and reconciliation experience, including electronic claims submission and knowledge of payer-specific billing requirements. 
•  Minimum 2 years of experience reviewing, correcting, and resolving claim errors, coding-related denials, rejected claims, underpayments, and patient account issues, in0cluding identifying root causes and implementing appropriate corrective action. 
•  Strong understanding of medical coding guidelines, payer requirements, documentation standards, and reimbursement practices, with the ability to identify discrepancies, missing documentation, and coding errors that may impact reimbursement. 
•  Demonstrated proficiency using electronic health record (EHR) systems and electronic claims processing platforms, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to coding, billing, and revenue cycle functions.
