Software Integration Engineer Level 4

Position Overview

TAP Engineering is seeking a Senior Software Integration Engineer to provide customer support for High Performance Computing (HPC) software and enable High Performance Computers to continue operating in support of the mission.

The Software Integration Engineer will provide HPC services through enhanced sustainment capabilities, supporting multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and SPD servers. This position will support a range of UNIX, Linux, and Windows systems, desktop applications, servers, and networks required to support mission operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software within a heterogeneous operating system environment.
• Provide sustainment and operational support for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems and software.
• Support multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and SPD servers.
• Troubleshoot complex system and software issues using structured troubleshooting methodologies.
• Install and configure HPC GOTS scheduler and resource management software.
• Support Linux and UNIX-based environments, including Red Hat, CentOS, and SUSE.
• Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts using various shell environments.
• Support configuration management processes and tools.
• Compile and support software utilizing the GCC compiler.
• Support multi-threaded and parallel processing software.
• Develop and maintain software using Python and object-oriented programming languages.
• Support HPC technologies and infrastructure including HPE, Lustre, VMware, Salt, NVIDIA, InfiniBand, Mellanox, Slingshot, Slurm, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, WEKA, Juniper, and Arista.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrable experience integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment; or thirteen (13) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT II-level certification.
• Experience with Linux shell scripting.
• Experience with Red Hat, CentOS, and SUSE operating systems.
• Experience with Python programming.
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C, C++, or Java.
• Experience with multi-threaded software and parallel processing.
• Experience with GCC compiler.
• Experience with configuration management tools.
• Experience with HPC GOTS scheduler and resource management software.
• Demonstrated structured troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Perl or JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of CORBA and J2EE.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $175,000 - $200,000, based on relevant experience, qualifications, and other applicable factors. The compensation range provided is a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Clearance Requirement

This position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. Clearance processing and maintenance will be conducted in accordance with U.S. Government requirements.
