Role details:
We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have practical industry experience in building and migrating workloads into AWS, along with proficiency in core AWS services and concepts. This role requires a strong understanding of AWS infrastructure and the ability to optimize for management, security, and cost.
Your Essential skills & experience:
Minimum 8+ years of experience with expert level knowledge,
Practical industry experience in AWS cloud solutions.
Proficiency in core AWS services and concepts.
Solid knowledge in specialized AWS services.
Machine Learning and AI services – Amazon Textract, Amazon Bedrock, Sagemaker, Amazon Q
Experience enabling AI capabilities on a cloud platform (eg: Bedrock, Sagemaker etc)
Strong programming skills in Python or another modern programming language.
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD services and tools.
Must have at least one current Associate Level+ certification in AWS (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate/Developer Associate or above)
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and migrate application workloads into AWS.
Utilize core AWS services such as Compute (EC2, Lambda), Storage (S3, EBS), Networking (VPC, Route53), and Database (RDS including Aurora, NoSQL including DynamoDB, Neptune).
Implement management, security, and cost optimization strategies using IAM, CloudWatch, and Security Groups.
Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework to ensure best practices in cloud architecture.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using TerraForm, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
Leverage specialized services such as Containers (ECS, Fargate, EKS) and Machine Learning and AI services (Amazon Textract, Amazon Bedrock, Sagemaker, Amazon Q).
Demonstrate strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or another modern programming language.
Implement DevOps and CI/CD practices using tools like Docker/Kubernetes, Git/GitHub, TeamCity, and GitHub Actions.
Accountable for all Infrastructure and platform related activities across OR&C – Including upgrades, environment provisioning, stability, performance, security and lifecycle management
Enable and operationalise AI foundations (MCP, API’s etc) across platform ensuring all the required guardrails (security, audit and repeatable)
