Openwork is hiring an experienced Machine Operator for a well-established manufacturing company in Northeast Houston. If you have experience operating industrial equipment and enjoy working in a production environment where safety, quality, and teamwork are valued, this is a great opportunity to advance your career.
Training Schedule:
- Paid training will take place on Day Shift (Monday–Friday) during your first week.
- After successfully completing training, you'll transition to the 3rd Shift schedule beginning your second week.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor industrial production equipment.
- Set up machinery according to production requirements.
- Operate a 15-foot press and assist with a 500-ton production machine.
- Read work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform basic machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate production records.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience required.
- 2+ years of machine operating experience required.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable attendance and dependable work habits.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and move materials throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
