About the role
Leverage deep understanding of specific key account customers, processes / systems and act as a critical issue point (working with Customer Service Support Teams) of contact for any verbal or written form of enquiries from external and internal customers and third parties.
Interact with partners in a professional, friendly and efficient manner and raise concerns about meeting service levels or deadlines.
Establish and foster strong business relationships with relevant stakeholders and internal business partners.
Support Delivery in line with finance service centre strategy to meet agreed Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators, targets and budgets
Provide guidance, support and mentoring for the team
In this role You will
- Supervise the AR Retail Site Team to ensure the timely and accurate recording of accounts receivable in the ledgers.
- Support and prepare documents for period-end close.
- Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the Retail Site Accounting Team on new initiatives, projects, and continuous improvements.
- Perform impact assessments for new Business projects, oversee deployments, complete and sign-off on UAT, and ensure successful go-lives.
- Encourage team members to learn new digital solutions, challenge the status quo, and optimize procedures through coaching and dedicated support.
- Design comprehensive documentation (SOPs, job aids) to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Support audits (regular and ad-hoc), minimizing the risk of audit findings and opportunities for improvement (OFIs).
- Ensure the Retail Site Accounting Team remains integrated with Credit C&P by participating in cross-functional sessions, meetings, training, and engaging in the ELT community.
- Follow the tasks outlined in the EMS/QMS Systems of GBS.
- Lead by example, inspiring change as a role model for the team and providing strong support for the Line Manager.
- Engage regularly with business stakeholders to meet the targets, promote new initiatives, and address issues or challenges.
- Ensure the professional development of the team members
- Represent the team in meetings and calls
Key responsibilities
- Supervise the accurate execution of operational tasks, particularly month-end and quarter-end entries.
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members until they can perform tasks independently.
- Maintain strong interaction with assigned business units, customers, and engage with outsourced service providers and business-facing financial teams.
What You will need to be successful
- Bachelor's degree required
- Previous experience in a business support environment
- Fluency in English and country specific languages.
- Must demonstrate high level of proficiency in Microsoft Packages (Excel & Word) and show an intermediate level interest in CRM systems/applications
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and facilitation skills with ability to work with and influence cross functional teams from a variety of backgrounds and cultures
- Recognised accounting qualification
