We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist, to lead the Human Resources General Support Contract. This project will provide timely personnel action processing, benefits counseling, retirement calculations, and customer support critical to agency operations for the Federal Trade Commission’s Human Capital Management Office (HCMO). This is an on-site full-time position working 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day with one 30 minutes unpaid lunch break at the FTC Headquarters Building located at 600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20580.

So, what will the Human Resources Generalist at Terrestris do?
The Human Resources Generalist will be a key personnel position for the Human Resources General Support contract, providing benefits and retirement administration support and human resources processing and staffing support for the FTC HCMO. The Human Resources Generalist will deliver accurate, timely, and compliant HR services, maintain audit-ready records, safeguard sensitive information, provide exceptional customer service, and flexibly support evolving HCMO priorities. This position is contingent upon contract award.
What does a typical day look like for a Human Resources Generalist?
You will:
- Process personnel actions ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Calculate retirement estimates and service history.
- Process benefits elections (FEHB, FEGLI, TSP).
- Complete new-hire onboarding packages.
- Prepare and submit weekly or bi-weekly activity updates to the Contracting Officer Representative.
- Support annual Open Season and ongoing benefits activities.
- Maintain complete and accurate HR and benefits records.
What qualifications do you look for?
You might be the professional we’re looking for if you have:
- Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to complete background investigation.
- High school diploma (per Government confirmation).
- 3 years of relevant experience in federal HR processing or benefits.
- Ability to process forms, maintain records, calculate retirement service, and use FPPS and benefits systems.
