ERM is seeking a motivated Risk Safety Senior Consultant who is interested in participating on a variety of Safety projects, to join our consulting firm in Mexico City, MX. In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers on Safety and Technical Risk projects. Responsabilities
- Provide technical support on Safety and Technical Risk projects.
- Prepare reports for risk assessments, consequence analysis and safety programs, among others.
- Perform safety/risk assessments and participate on field activities for different industrial companies.
- Conduct safety reviews on desk and field, hazards identification workshops like leader facilitator, engineering documents analysis and interpretation (P&ID, Flow Diagrams, Energy and Mass Balance info).
- Provide general safety compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance, as needed.
- Coordinate multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
- Support ERM Partners and managers.
- Conduct ATEX assessments with a IEC and NEC standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in Process Safety.
- High proficiency in English (verbal and written) - Mandatory.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with solid organizational and analytical capabilities.
- Experience in recording and writing detailed technical data and reports.
- Knowledge of Process Safety (CCPS guidelines), such as: Hazard Identification Techniques (e.g., HAZOP, HAZID, BowTie), Consequence Modeling (e.g., fire, explosion, toxic dispersion), Mechanical Integrity.
- Familiarity with PPA (Accident Prevention Program).
- Experience with safety software tools such as ALOHA, PHAST, PHA-Pro & BowTie XP.
- Knowledge of Mexican safety regulations, particularly STPS NOM-028.
- Knowledge in Safety and Risk IA (e.g., HAZARD Identification Software)
- Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, travel as needed, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Availability to travel is required; valid passport and driver’s license are mandatory. US visa is desirable.
