Description
The Curtiss-Wright's Sensors team are looking for a Graduate Design Engineer to join our team based in Christchurch, UK. Here you will be designing products and completing project work for flight critical Sensors and Controls for Commercial and Military Aircraft, this is your chance to join us as we grow.
The product range consists of solenoids, valves, linear and rotary sensors for aerospace.
This is an entry level role for an enthusiastic graduate engineer with a mechanical bias who is keen to pursue a career in aerospace.

Your Challenge:
3D design of using SolidWorks
Generation of manufacturing drawings
Tooling and fixture design to support production and qualification testing.
Changes to engineering drawings via the ECO system in PDM
Provide analysis using FEA, tolerance stack ups and hand calculations.
Creation of reports, presentations and test documentation
Your Expertise:
Degree educated with a minimum of a 2:1 in mechanical or aerospace engineering
Experience of FEA (thermal, CFD, structural, magnetic)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as turning & milling
Some basic knowledge of electronics
Understanding of solenoids and transformers
Competent using Excel, Powerpoint and Word
