The primary purpose of your job position is to assure that medical records are maintained in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as in accordance with our established policies and procedures, to assure that a complete medical records program is maintained.
Duties Include:
- Organize and maintain medical records in accordance with established procedures
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of patient information
- Retrieve and file medical records as needed
- Scan and upload documents into electronic health record systems
- Assist with data entry and record updates
- Prepare medical records for release to authorized individuals or organizations
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medical record management
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
