Sector/Organization Overview

Cross-sector legal operations support based in EMEA.

 

Summary of the job:

The Legal Operations Team Lead will lead the ASCENT EMEA Legal Ops Support Team, Johnson & Johnson Law Department lawyers, professional associates and external counsel. The position will also support business and cross-functional team members on a global and regional level, coordinating and supporting the ASCENT processes as well as any other Outside Counsel related processes.

 

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Trouble-shoot invoice tax and compliance requirements and governance
  • Assist with process definition, implementation and enforcement mechanisms
  • Support management of on-going operational activities, including month-end, quarter-end and year-end finance and tax reporting and process integration
  • Coordinate on-going alignment between legal and AP, Tax and Finance processes
  • Assist management and support of quarterly accrual, budget, and vendor management activities
  • Identify opportunities for, and oversight of the implementation of, ASCENT system enhancements and configurations
  • Identify opportunities for, and oversight of the implementation of, enhanced operational processes, policies and procedures
  • Update EMEA Guidelines while maintaining the ‘global’ framework
  • On-going change management, including communications, process guidelines, and stakeholder support
  • Work with Procurement and other key business partners to implement local projects for operational efficiency
  • Work with Department leadership to perform annual outside counsel spending and usage analyses
  • Assist in legal spend reporting and creation of dashboard
  • Supervise EMEA Legal Operations Specialist
  • Lead/Guide EMEA ASCENT Legal Ops Support Team
  • Lead and work with EMEA OC team to efficiently manage outside counsel law firms and any processes around it

Experience Required

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, tax or administration or relevant through experience

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€72 500,00 - €115 230,00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
