Mobile Software Developer

Mission Overview:

We are seeking a driven Mobile Software Developer for a consultancy mission at a client site, representing Keystone Solutions. In this role, you will be part of a strategic IT team that maintains non-medical hospital applications, focusing on Android development while being open to future platforms.

Responsibilities:

• You will bridge the gap between our complex ERP backend and end-users by building intuitive, high-performance mobile apps that enhance the efficiency of thousands of hospital staff.
• Android Development: You will start developing and maintaining native Android applications written in Kotlin, utilizing the Android Jetpack ecosystem.
• Future-proof Mindset: You will stay updated on mobile trends and be willing to evolve with potential shifts towards other platforms (iOS or Cross-platform frameworks).
• Innovation & Architecture: You will translate functional needs into technically advanced solutions, contributing to architecture discussions (MVVM, Clean Architecture), security, and UX/UI.
• Integration & Monitoring: You will connect apps to backend systems and use Firebase for monitoring (Crashlytics), analytics, and messaging (Cloud Messaging).
• End-to-End Responsibility: Over time, you will execute projects from A to Z, including analysis, development, release, and user guidance.

Requirements:

• You hold a master's degree in IT or have equivalent experience.
• You are a specialist in Android but have a broad interest in the entire mobile landscape.

Your Tech Stack & Skills:

• Kotlin & Core: Deep knowledge of Kotlin (including Coroutines & Flow) and the Android SDK.
• Modern UI: Experience with (or strong interest in) Jetpack Compose for building modern interfaces.
• Architecture: Ability to build scalable apps following principles like MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Dependency Injection (e.g., Koin).
• Firebase: Experience with Firebase services such as Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, and Firestore.
• Networking: Familiarity with REST APIs (using Retrofit and/or OkHttp; Ktor client is a plus) and local data storage (e.g., Room).

Your Mindset & Broader Knowledge:

• Flexibility: While you are currently an Android expert, you are open to expanding your skills to iOS (Swift) or Cross-platform (e.g., Flutter/React Native/KMP) as projects require.
• Backend Willingness: You are not afraid to learn about our backend environment (PeopleSoft tools, SQL Server).
• Team Player: Knowledge sharing and eagerness to learn are second nature to you.
• Communication: You are proficient in both Dutch and English.
