CMA - Interventional Nurse
Full-Time (40 hours weekly)
Monday - Friday (no weekends or holidays)
Keystone Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time CMA - Interventional Nurse to join our team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Function as an active member of the interventional treatment team, collaborating with the Coordinator, providers, and other staff members.
- Review and prepare patient Electronic Health Records (EHR) prior to scheduled appointments.
- Prepare patients for appointments by obtaining vital signs, reconciling medications, processing medication renewal requests in a timely manner, and ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the EHR.
- Assist providers with interventional procedures and support the Coordinator with insurance authorizations.
- Carry out provider orders and administer treatments as directed and within scope of practice.
- Assist with patient enrollments and authorization processes as needed.
- Provide patient education and reinforce treatment plans.
- Support and assist patients under the direction of a nurse or provider.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of patient treatments and services provided.
- Develop a working knowledge of Keystone Health programs and communicate relevant information to patients.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned and sanitized after each patient use and launder SPRAVATO® blankets as required.
- Assist in training staff members who are interested in supporting interventional treatment services.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Complete prior authorizations, referrals, and related documentation in a timely manner.
- Attend departmental meetings and complete all required organizational and departmental training.
- Communicate important patient care and operational information to the Clinical Nursing Manager, Keystone Behavioral Health.
- Participate in organizational quality improvement initiatives and projects as requested.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant program. Basic typing/computer skills required. Experience in office nursing a plus.
LICENSES and CERTIFICATION: Current CPR Certification; Medical Assistant Certification required.
