Join our oncology team as a Senior Licensed Practical Nurse (Sr. LPN) and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients through compassionate care, coordination, and advocacy.In this vital role, you will perform all duties of the Licensed Practical Nurse while working under the supervision of a Provider, Registered Nurse (RN), or other licensed independent provider to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care.
Key responsibilities include assisting in the development, evaluation, and modification of individualized care/treatment plans based on mutually established goals with patients and caregivers. The Sr. LPN will facilitate patient access to the appropriate interdisciplinary care providers, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic services, ensuring seamless coordination of care throughout the patient journey.
As a trusted point of contact, advocate, and informational resource, you will support patients, caregivers, providers, and other healthcare team members within the oncology setting. You will play a critical role in ensuring effective tracking of test results, medication management, and adherence to follow-up appointments while providing comprehensive patient-centered education.
This position also offers the opportunity to contribute to staff development by providing education and guidance to nursing and ancillary team members. Additionally, the LPN will serve as the designated quality lead for the nursing unit, supporting quality initiatives and promoting excellence in patient care.
Starting hourly rate for this position is $30.10 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
Required Education and ExperienceLicense and Certification Requirement
License to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certifications from the American Heart Association.
Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited practical nursing school’s LPN program and four (4) years of nursing experience, including two (2) years of nursing experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting.
NOTE: Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), with a strong background in community health and occupational medicine. Candidates should possess experience working with electronic health records (EHR), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, and reporting systems.
In addition to clinical expertise, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment, and proven leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care while supporting operational and clinical objectives.
