Description
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Import & Export Analyst.
## What you’ll do:
The primary function of this role is to ensure that Eaton / Cooper Wiring Devices de Mexico S.A. de C.V. complies with all applicable trade and VAT regulations. The position supports international trade operations, optimizes tax-related processes, mitigates compliance risks, and ensures efficient and legally compliant business operations while avoiding penalties and enhancing trade process performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Managing import and export operations under the IMMEX program, including compliance and oversight of both temporary and definitive customs regimes.
B. Documentation and Record Keeping: Ensure that all required documentation is accurate, complete, and properly maintained to support regulatory compliance requirements.
C. Compliance audits: Conducting audits and evaluations of internal and external business partners to ensure compliance with global trade regulations.
D. Cost reduction initiatives: Develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives while ensuring continued compliance with applicable regulations and business requirements.
E. Freight management: Oversee freight transportation activities to ensure cost-effective, timely and compliant delivery of goods. Manage international transportation operations, including freight cost control, shipment planning, performance monitoring, and on-time delivery.
F. Corporate RFQ´s: Provide support to Global Logistics Operations by supplying information for RFQ´s (Requests for Quotation) related to the sourcing and tendering processes of international freight forwarders and carriers.
G. Management of accounts and invoices for customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and U.S.-based warehouses, as well as tracking and monitoring logistics expenses by import pedimento and commercial invoice for imported goods.
H. Customs Valuation Paper: Perform and maintain the reconciliation of the commercial value of imported goods and dutiable additions declared in import pedimentos against commercial invoices, freight invoices.
I. Regulatory Audits: Preparing for and participating in audits conducted by Mexican customs authorities to verify compliance with customs valuation and/or IMMEX program.
J. Training and Reporting: Participate in compliance training programs and prepare, maintain, and submit reports required to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
## Qualifications:
A. Bachelor´s Degree in International Trade.
B. Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
C. Intermediate to advanced excel skills.
D. Self-learning ability.
E. Teamwork.
F. Ability to work under pressure.
