Job Description

As a Hospital Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard a high profile healthcare customer. The Hospital Security Officer is responsible for the surveillance of the client’s healthcare premises and the protection of the staff, members, and visitors. A Hospital Security Professional detects and prevents any suspicious activity, observe and reports incidents, and provides customer service in a friendly and professional manner.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations and updates to Allied Universal supervision and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
