Responsibilities
As a Scheduler with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Develop, maintain, and manage complex Microsoft Project schedules for technical programs.
- Build and maintain integrated master schedules and supporting detailed schedules aligned with program scope, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
- Ensure schedules are structured to support progress tracking, forecasting, critical path analysis, and earned value management assessments.
- Coordinate with program managers, technical leads, functional managers, and control account managers to define activities, durations, logic, constraints, milestones, and resource assumptions.
- Status schedules on a recurring basis using input from responsible leads and team members.
- Analyze schedule performance, identify variances, assess impacts, and support development of corrective actions and recovery plans.
- Perform schedule quality checks to ensure compliance with scheduling best practices, contract requirements, and organizational standards.
- Maintain schedule baselines and document changes through formal change control processes.
- Support monthly or periodic performance reporting, including schedule metrics, milestone status, critical path analysis, and forecast completion dates.
- Prepare schedule products and data for program reviews, customer briefings, and internal management reporting.
- Support earned value management activities by ensuring schedule data is properly aligned with work scope, status methods, and performance measurement needs.
- Coordinate schedule integration across projects, task orders, subcontractors, and functional workstreams, as applicable.
- Identify and communicate schedule risks, logic issues, resource conflicts, and data anomalies.
- Support audits, assessments, and data calls related to schedule performance and schedule quality
THIS HYBRID POSITION REQUIRES 3 DAYS OF WORK IN THE OFFICE AND 2 DAYS REMOTE PER WEEK
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and two (2) to four (4) years of experience; a combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of degree
- Secret Clearance
- Experience scheduling facilities and services for multiple agencies
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience working with Microsoft Office software and Internet usage
- Ability to coordinate several events simultaneously and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently at times and make appropriate decisions under time constraints
- Skills in communication, public speaking, providing constructive feedback and handling complaints
