Overview
Job Title: Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Executive / SpecialistJob Purpose
The MRP Executive is responsible for ensuring material availability to support production plans across two manufacturing sites (North & South), while optimizing inventory levels and maintaining strong coordination with both local and overseas suppliers.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Material Planning & Execution
- Manage material requirements planning for a portfolio of 150+ SKUs.
- Ensure timely availability of raw and packaging materials to support production without disruption.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to balance service level and working capital targets.
2. Supplier Management & Coordination
- Manage and coordinate with over 30 suppliers (local and overseas).
- Issue purchase requisitions / purchase orders in alignment with planning requirements.
- Follow up on supplier confirmations, delivery schedules, and resolve supply issues proactively.
- Collaborate with procurement on supplier performance, lead time, and improvement initiatives.
3. Production & Plant Coordination
- Work closely with 2 manufacturing plants (North & South) to align material supply with production schedules.
- Support production planning adjustments by ensuring material readiness for any plan changes.
- Handle material shortages, expedite critical items, and propose mitigation actions.
4. Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete materials; propose actions to minimize write-offs.
- Optimize safety stock levels and reorder parameters.
- Support inventory accuracy and cycle count processes where required.
5. System & Data Management
- Maintain accurate master data (lead time, MOQ, safety stock, BOM alignment).
- Ensure planning parameters in SAP (or relevant ERP) are correctly set for MRP runs.
- Analyze MRP outputs and take appropriate actions to ensure system reliability.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Demand Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams to ensure end-to-end supply chain efficiency.
- Support new product launches, packaging changes, and phase-in/phase-out activities from a material planning perspective.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Material Planning / Supply Planning, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Experience managing a high number of SKUs and multiple suppliers is highly preferred.
