Position Overview:
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at a community-based nonprofit facility in Mountain View, CA. In this role, you'll provide person-centered care to participants in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current California state license as a Registered Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Valid California driver's license, clean driving record, appropriate insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
- Open to new graduates.
- Proficient in in-home evaluations, ADL assessments, home safety evaluations, and universal precautions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; compassion, patience, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Able to meet physical demands (lift, transfer, push/pull, maneuver, reposition), including safely moving up to 35 pounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop person-centered care plans for incoming and active participants.
- Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team and help carry out the team's plan of care.
- Provide ADL care as needed, including grooming, dressing, hygiene, and body mechanics training.
- Train staff on proper ADL techniques and body mechanics.
- Conduct in-home evaluations for home safety considerations and recommendations.
- Demonstrate safe practices through proper body mechanics, universal precautions, and environmental safety.
- Contribute to a welcoming environment and assist participants as needed.
- Supervise participants throughout the center to ensure safety, care, and comfort.
- Attend all staff meetings, trainings, and in-services.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
