MMI Engineered Solutions is looking for a Corporate Compliance Coordinator to help maintain compliance with industry standards, coordinate audits, manage customer-specific requirements, and partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen our processes and drive continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate corporate IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 management systems, including certification schedules, audit readiness, and surveillance and recertification activities across applicable facilities.

  • Coordinate internal, process, external, and customer audits, including scheduling, findings, corrective actions, and verification of closure.

  • Maintain corporate document control standards, including policies, procedures, revision approvals, retention, and obsolete-document control.

  • Coordinate management reviews and maintain compliance metrics, dashboards, risk registers, and tracking of overdue or high-risk issues.

  • Oversee corporate governance of company policies and management systems, including periodic reviews, change control, cross-functional approvals, and implementation tracking.

  • Partner with HR, EHS, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, IT, and other process owners to align applicable requirements with company policies and procedures.

  • Maintain the corporate compliance obligations register, including applicable requirements, responsible owners, site applicability, review schedules, and supporting evidence.

Customer-Specific Requirements (CSR):

  • Maintain a controlled CSR register and applicability matrix by customer, site, product/program, revision, effective date, and process owner.

  • Monitor customer communications and portal updates, assess new and revised requirements, and coordinate applicability and impact assessments with Sales, APQP, and Plant Quality Managers.

  • Lead cross-functional reviews to identify gaps, assign action owners and deadlines, coordinate necessary procedure, training, or system changes, and verify implementation evidence.

  • Maintain traceable CSR change records, including revision history, applicability decisions, approvals, implementation status, and periodic reviews.

  • Identify recurring or cross-site compliance issues, coordinate corrective actions and continuous improvement, and support compliance training and standardization.

  • Coordinate responses to customers and certification bodies on corporate management-system matters, working with the appropriate process owners.

Responsibility for Quality:

  • Maintain the accuracy, currency, accessibility, and traceability of corporate compliance records, CSR requirements, audit activities, and assigned action items.

  • Identify, escalate, and track compliance gaps while partnering with process owners and Plant Quality Managers, who remain responsible for implementation and sustained effectiveness.

This role does not own production quality, product release, PPAP, local PFMEAs or Control Plans, or plant-level customer complaints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least five years of experience in automotive quality systems, management systems, compliance coordination, or related multi-site functions.
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, automotive Core Tools, and customer-specific requirements; ability to interpret and translate revised requirements into actionable implementation plans.
  • Experience coordinating internal and external audits, nonconformity management, management reviews, policy/document control, and cross-functional follow-up.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain requirement matrices, controlled registers, change logs, dashboards, and traceable evidence using common enterprise tools.
  • Effective English communication skills; Spanish language proficiency desirable for coordination with Mexico facilities.
  • Strong organizational judgment, stakeholder management, risk-based thinking, analytical skills, and ability to influence without direct supervisory authority.
  • Lead auditor training/certification for IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 is preferred; experience with customer portals and regulatory compliance systems is a plus.
