Description

When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.

The Integration Architect, Healthcare Technology Management is a senior technical individual contributor responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing enterprise system integrations that support Beth Israel Lahey Health Healthcare Technology Management operations. The role serves as the technical integration architect for HTM systems, medical equipment operational data, vendor platforms, remote diagnostics, cybersecurity and device-monitoring tools, and approved enterprise platforms including ServiceNow/Nuvolo.

The Integration Architect focuses primarily on the asset-facing operational data ecosystem rather than patient-facing clinical data pathways. The position designs the technical architecture that enables enterprise visibility into equipment inventory, performance, utilization, condition, service history, regulatory documentation, remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, cybersecurity surveillance, lifecycle management, and capital planning.

The position operates within established BILH Information Systems architecture, security, data governance, and change-management frameworks while maintaining deep alignment with HTM operational, regulatory, quality, and patient-safety objectives. The Integration Architect provides technical direction and hands-on execution to unify disparate data sources, enable system-wide visibility, and support advanced analytics, automation, and surveillance of medical technology assets.

1. Serves as the technical integration architect for HTM systems, defining data flows, system interfaces, integration patterns, and technical specifications aligned with BILH Information Systems standards and governance.

2. Designs and leads enterprise integrations between HTM systems, vendor systems, remote monitoring technologies, cybersecurity/device-monitoring platforms, and approved enterprise applications.

3. Leads technical initiatives to sunset legacy HTM databases and migrate data into approved enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow/Nuvolo.

4. Designs and oversees data conversions and ingestion pipelines from legacy and vendor-hosted databases, ensuring data integrity, traceability, validation, and appropriate reconciliation.

5. Develops, coordinates, and supports API-based integrations, flat-file imports, automated feeds, and other data-exchange methods supporting HTM operations, analytics, regulatory compliance, and quality requirements.

6. Coordinates integrations among Nuvolo, vendor service and asset databases, remote equipment monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions, cybersecurity and medical-device monitoring platforms, and diagnostic imaging or imaging informatics platforms as applicable.

7. Acts as the technical liaison among HTM, Clinical Systems Engineering, Information Services, vendors, and third-party integrators to ensure solutions meet architectural, security, data, and operational requirements.

8. Works within established BILH governance frameworks for enterprise architecture, system integration, cybersecurity, change management, data stewardship, and technical documentation.

9. Partners with Information Security and Clinical Systems Engineering to ensure integrations support cybersecurity monitoring, vulnerability-management, and risk-assessment requirements for connected medical technologies.

10. Supports regulatory and quality initiatives by enabling data transparency, auditability, traceability, and system-wide surveillance of healthcare technology assets.

11. Manages multiple concurrent integration initiatives and technical workstreams, balancing operational urgency, project dependencies, data quality, and enterprise standards.

12. Translates HTM operational and business requirements into clear technical requirements, integration designs, and specifications consumable by Information Services teams, vendors, and third-party integrators.

13. Partners closely with the Data Analyst, Healthcare Technology to ensure downstream data structures, reporting, analytics, data quality, and workflow requirements are supported by upstream integration design.

14. Documents integration architecture, system interfaces, data flows, technical dependencies, validation results, and support requirements to promote maintainability and continuity.

15. Evaluates emerging integration technologies, vendor capabilities, APIs, automation opportunities, and enterprise platform features and makes technical recommendations to the Director, Clinical Systems Engineering.
