Daikin Applied is seeking a Sr Technical Support Analyst- VRV who will provide technical leadership and support for complex product and system design challenges involving VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) and VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems within Daikin Applied through advanced product knowledge and application expertise. Serve as a national technical resource for Daikin Applied sales representatives, customers, and service organizations by delivering accurate guidance on the application, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of VRV/VRF systems. Apply a strong understanding of Daikin Applied’s business objectives, market strategy, and customer needs to support product adoption, drive technical solutions, and contribute to business growth. Develop and conduct technical training programs in classroom and field environments to strengthen product knowledge and operational capabilities. Drive the development, organization, and retention of technical resources while promoting high standards of product quality across product design, manufacturing, application, and service. What you will do:
- Serve as the national technical lead for Daikin Applied VRV/VRF systems, providing advanced support for product applications, system design, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Provide accurate and timely technical guidance to DAA Service, sales representatives, customers, contractors, engineers, and service organizations to support project execution and customer satisfaction
- Manage and prioritize technical support requests received through phone, email, and other communication channels while maintaining timely and professional responses
- Documenting all technical inquiries, recommendations, resolutions, and case activity within Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate case histories and support future technical analysis
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex product and system issues, coordinating escalation and corrective actions with the appropriate internal teams when needed
- Communicate technical findings, application considerations, field conditions, and system performance concerns to engineering, service, contractors, consultants, building owners, and other stakeholders
- Develop and deliver VRV/VRF technical training covering applications, installation, operation, maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting in classroom, virtual, and field environments
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship to service technicians, supervisors, technical support analysts, and other technical personnel to strengthen field capability and develop future technical resources
- Develop, review, and improve technical training content, application resources, service documentation, troubleshooting tools, and knowledge-management resources
- Analyze product, system, component, and field-support data to identify trends, recurring issues, knowledge gaps, and opportunities for product, service, and process improvement
- Lead and support technical projects and strategic initiatives that advance departmental and organizational objectives
- Serve as the technical liaison between Daikin Applied and Daikin North America for VRV/VRF products, coordinating product information, technical updates, new technologies, field feedback, best practices, and market requirements
- Build productive relationships across Daikin Applied, Daikin North America, customers, contractors, engineers, and MOR service organizations to improve technical coordination and field support
- Apply an understanding of Daikin Applied's business objectives, customer needs, installed base, and market strategy to support product adoption, technical capability, customer retention, and business growth

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or 2 year degree from college or technical school
- 6-8 + years with VRV related experience and or training
- Advanced knowledge of commercial Daikin VRV/VRF systems, including applications, system design, controls, operation, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Experience in technical service, applications engineering, technical training, or product support involving commercial VRV/VRF systems
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex system performance issues, determine root causes, and develop practical technical solutions
- Strong understanding of VRV/VRF application and design principles, including equipment selection, piping, controls, installation requirements, and system commissioning
- Ability to interpret technical data, operating conditions, customer requirements, and field information to identify trends and recommend corrective actions or process improvements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to service technicians, customers, contractors, consulting engineers, sales teams, and other business partners
- Ability to develop and deliver technical instruction in classroom, virtual, and field environments for audiences with varying levels of technical experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills with the ability to independently evaluate technical issues and make sound recommendations
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across service, sales, engineering, training, product support, and external organizations
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple technical priorities, document using write smart practices, and respond effectively to changing business and customer needs
- Understanding of Daikin Applied business operations, customer support processes, and market objectives, or the ability to develop that knowledge quickly
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

- Demonstrated ability to influence technical and business decisions across cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Experience supporting the introduction, adoption, and continued growth of new products and technologies
- Ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert for internal teams, customers, and business partners
- Experience collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, product management, training, sales, and field service organizations to improve product performance, serviceability, and customer experience
- Demonstrated ability to identify recurring technical and operational trends, recommend improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience leading technical projects, programs, or strategic initiatives from development through implementation and field adoption
- Experience developing technical standards, best practices, escalation processes, or knowledge-management resources that can be applied across multiple teams or locations
- Ability to mentor and develop technical personnel, including future subject matter experts, trainers, and technical support resources
- Experience supporting national or multi-regional technical organizations and coordinating technical resources across multiple locations
- Ability to translate field experience, technical data, and customer feedback into recommendations for product development, training, field support, and business planning
- Experience documenting technical cases, recommendations, and resolutions within CRM or case-management systems. Salesforce experience preferred
- Demonstrated potential to take on broader technical leadership, program ownership, and organizational responsibilities as the VRV/VRF business and support structure continue to grow
Work Environment:
- Remote-based position with travel to Daikin Applied service locations, customer jobsites, training facilities, and other business locations as required
- Travel throughout the United States and Canada is expected and may average approximately 35%, depending on customer needs, technical support requirements, training activities, and business priorities
- When not traveling, work is primarily performed from a home office using company-provided computer, phone, remote-access tools, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Teams, Service Checker, and other technical support systems
- Field assignments may range from short-duration visits to multi-day support depending on the complexity and needs of the job
- Jobsite activity may include mechanical equipment rooms, rooftops, commercial facilities, construction environments, and other locations where VRV/VRF systems are installed
- Employees must follow applicable Daikin Applied and customer safety requirements while working at field locations. Appropriate personal protective equipment may be required based on site conditions

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,400k - $136,800k and a bonus potential up to 10%. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
