Role: Care Assistant

Location: Birmingham

Hours: 48 hour shift, sleep nights paid per hour. 2 days on 4 days off, rolling rota.

Payrate: £13.00 per hour

Care That Makes Life Possible 

You’ll care for an adult in Birmingham working a 48 hour shift with sleep nights, then you will have 4 days off, you will provide safe and consistent care in their own home. Care Staff live in an well appointed apartment joined to the home, which provides all modern comforts.  It has its own separate Kitchen, lounge area and shower room, with access to the garden and a flat screen tv and Netflix. The adult does try to live as independently as possible from support. 

They live with a spinal cord injury and require support with their day to day routine and activities. Beyond their clinical needs, they enjoy sports, movies social activities and you’ll help them enjoy the things that matter most to them safely.

With nurse-led oversight, individualised clinical training and the wider Komplex Group behind you, you’ll provide the standard of care you’d want for your own family.

Your Role as a Care Assistant

You’ll join a dedicated, nurse-led team providing hands-on care for individuals with lifelong and potentially life-critical clinical needs.

This is NOT standard domiciliary care. You’ll follow detailed clinical care plans, monitor changes in the individual’s condition and perform the specialist interventions needed to keep them safe, stable and comfortable at home. Your responsibilities may include:

Providing personal care, medication and clinical interventions 

Monitoring clinical observations and recognising deterioration 

Maintaining accurate records and escalating concerns immediately

What We’re Looking For

This is more than a job. You’ll be trusted with someone’s safety and wellbeing while delivering care that requires skill, focus and sound judgement. It takes a certain kind of person: someone compassionate, dependable and highly attentive who can remain calm and act correctly under pressure. We also require the following:

A full UK driving licence 

Experience in care or confidence undertaking clinical training 

Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness 

The ability to follow detailed clinical protocols consistently 

Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping 

A genuine commitment to safe, person-centred care
